The Lightwork Exchange Production Partnership

Lightwork Exchange is a shop founded by Evan Krohn, selling all of his creations. He imagines the idea, commissions an artist to create it, & then produces that art. He produces them into enamel pins, patches, prints, magnets, & stickers. All of his designs he produces are original art & original ideas.

The Phunky Fox Shop & Lightwork Exchange have worked together since the beginning. Lightwork Exchange has produced all of The Phunky Fox Shop’s original designs, all of their pins and patches. Lightwork Exchange has allowed The Phunky Fox Shop to create clothing using Lightwork Exchange designs & patches. Credit is always specified in each listing. Also,There is a folder in the online shop of all of these pieces that is titled “lightwork exchange collaborations”.

Beyond working together in: producing art, creating clothing out of produced art…the two shops are taking their team work to another level: & for the first time ever: are now offering custom merchandising.
There is a designated page for this partnership titled “Custom Merchandising” found in the pages at the top of the site, and if you click the icon below.

Logo Designer

Maddie Mclennon

Maddie Mclennon is an incredible artist with an eccentric colorful vibe and authentic style. Shop founder, Alyssa had met Maddie on the Camden Phish lot in 2018 where she was selling a print with Gritty wearing Trey's guitar, the langudoc. Alyssa was blown away by the piece, (it hangs in the room she sews)! She was just as blown away by every other creation of hers she saw. So the following year, she knew she would be the perfect artist to commission for the logo. She felt such connection to her work, like her art accurately represents her energy and the shop's energy... she was thrilled she agreed, and she made her a few different variants, and permission to make anything out of them. This was a pivotal moment in Phunky Fox History, this is when it really became real.  She did a truly perfect job. We will definitely be commissioning her for more work soon, and encourage you to do the same...her instagram and etsy shop on the link below.

The Creation of The Phunky Fox Shop:

What is the origin of the shop name? What is PHUNKY?

The Phunky Fox Shop creator, Alyssa Poland first created the shop with her first original designs she had made for herself to wear seeing her most favorite band of all: Phish. So that is why "Phunky" is spelled with a PH. Her adventures with Fashion and music started with her signature, one of a kind fox hat.

Where did the fox hat come from?

In 2014, Alyssa was camping with her family in Pennsylvania's beautiful Pocono Mountains. The campsite general store is where she found the hat. It was all so unusual; finding an article of clothing somewhere as unlikely and random as a campground general store.. and the profound way it spoke to her...unlike anything ever had. It was unlike anything she had ever seen..and she quickly began to discover its magical power. The top three photos are from her first trip there, the trip she got the hat. The bottom three photos are from her last trip there in 2023, where she hoped to purchase a replacement.

What is the significance of the fox hat?

Live music is a place of non judgmental, comfortable, encouraged self expression. A safe place to explore, and wear what you want for what ever reasons you feel. At the shows is where she began to unlock new feelings from new experiences in fashion. The fox hat was all positive things: it was fun, silly, cute the list goes on. She loved the way she felt wearing it: magical, powerful, protected. Just like how she felt at the show. It was as if fashion could work as a tool to increase the intensity of those feelings...as well as creating new ones. As she started wearing it to shows the magic evolved.
